I agree completely, but the fact is we have to work with what we've got and those in control seem to think it's a good idea. There is more of a move towards tecahing philosophy and ethics but lower down schools it's still branded under the lesson title of "religious education", so it's no wonder, in some ways, that there's a backlash against the subject.
